New Open House Website Launched
The Victoria Real Estate Board has launched a new Open House website (www.OpenHousesVictoria.ca) that provides a greatly enhanced service for buyers searching for a suitable property and greater exposure for home sellers in the Victoria area.
The new site, which is also accessible through the Board’s website (www.vreb.org) offers significant enhancements over the former site, including:
- Open Houses appear on the site within minutes of being posted to the Multiple Listing Service® (MLS®) by Victoria area REALTORS®;
- Open Houses are fully searchable by district, open house date, property type and price along with number of bedrooms and bathrooms;
- Search results can be sorted, selected and printed;
- Search results include listing and Open House information, photos, maps and virtual tours;
- Interested buyers can email the listing REALTOR® directly for more information on properties that interest them.
Victoria Real Estate Board President, Chris Markham, says the new site represents a significant enhancement over what was previously available, "In the past, Open House data was not searchable and only covered the coming weekend. Now buyers will always have the latest information available on all Open Houses posted by REALTORS®." Markham adds that introduction of the new site is yet another example of the value that REALTORS® offer to both buyers and sellers of property.
